SUSTAINABLE STYLE: Elena Garcia Fall 2008 Collection

Sounds like sustainable designers don’t mess around. When they go green with a project, they go green all the way. Such is the way with Angela Lindvall and her new project, Alter Eco, the show of sustainable projects brought to life by a small design team in a short period of time.
Ever heard of Elena Garcia before? She’s a fashion designer. And her 2008 lineup features plenty of clothes made from fully sustainable fabrics - clothes that have made several appearances on Alter Eco already, doubtless on the body of Lindvall herself.
Her newest line - which will probably also manage to appear on Lindvall in future episodes of Alter Eco - is very much designed according to Garcia’s artistic sentiments while keeping strictly to fabrics that are ethically and ecologically sound. Kind of makes sense when you’re talking about a show that’s based around sustainability, doesn’t it?
